Maria Tsang established her design career at YabuPushelberg in 2007. While there she worked with world-class clients such as the Hyatt Group, Hudson's Bay, Lane Crawford, Le Printemps, and the Hilton Group. Within six and a half years she progressed as a project leader with a deep understanding of and sense for design.
After concluding the Grand Hyatt Hotel project in Rio de Janeiro, she took a sabbatical to pursue a Master of Design degree at IED Madrid, Spain. She broadened her horizons through the program and exposure to European culture, and her leaders recognized her growing talent. They continued to challenge her even after accomplishing her degree by inviting her to design competitions in the Czech Republic and Poland.
When Maria returned to Canada, she had an opportunity to apply her new perspectives to lead exciting undertakings at Burdifilek. She led projects such as the Trump Champagne Lounge in Vancouver, rebranding of the Indigo bookshop and the Shinsegae department stores in Daegu, South Korea.
In 2016 she joined 2pi rdesign as Director of Interior Design. She accomplished numerous inspiring works such as the Park Hyatt Hotel renovations in Beijing, full renovations and rebranding of the Mumian Hotel in Shenzhen, and the new Mumian Hotel in Rizhao, Shandong. Working with 2pi r solidified her practice in solving design challenges and orchestrating projects of all scopes.
With her rich experiences, Maria along with her design associates and bonded consultants now brings about her practice, Realm Studio.
